Description 
Saskatchewan Corrections, Public Safety and Policing requires two permanent full time nurses at the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre.

Reporting to the Medical Supervisor you will be responsible to perform work of a specialized nature in the treatment and care of physically ill and mentally disordered adult male offenders.  You will provide direct care and treatment to offenders, assessing the need for and providing necessary medical and psychiatric treatment.  You will respond to medical emergencies, collect health information from offenders, assess and make referrals, arrange appointments, promote preventative health measures, dispense medication, maintain health records and organize and deliver educational workshops for both staff and offenders at the centre.

Hours of work are 8 hour shifts 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.  Uniforms (scrubs), meals, paid breaks and parking are provided.  A shoe allowance is also available.

To qualify, you will be eligible for registration with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association (RPN) or Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (RN) and have current First Aid and CPR training.
